
Ten Wolverines Receive ACWPC All-Academic Awards

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) announced its 2018 All-Academic Awards on Thursday (July 5) with 10 University of Michigan student-athletes earning recognition.
Michigan also earned a team honor for having a team grade-point average above 3.00.
The program honors student-athletes who have achieved a 3.2 cumulative GPA or higher and competed during the season. The individuals are awarded at three levels: excellent (3.2-3.4 GPA), superior (3.41-3.7) and outstanding (3.71-4.00).
Five Wolverines fell in the superior category with a successful year that placed them between a 3.41 and 3.70 cumulative GPA. The list included junior Kim Johnson, sophomores Skyler Pyle and Maddy Steere, and freshmen Sara Campbell and Brittany Prentice.
Additionally, five U-M student-athletes received excellent status with a GPA between 3.2 and 3.4. They were seniors Caroline Anderson and Laura Jimenez, junior Julia Sellers, sophomore Heidi Ritner and freshman Maddie O'Reilly.
