WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. -- Sophomore Camryn McPherson finished ninth on the one-meter springboard (541.00) and qualified for the NCAA Championships on the second day of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships on Friday (March 15) at the Morgan J. Burke Aquatic Center. With McPherson's inclusion, the team's roster for the NCAA Championships now stands at 13.
Zone C was allotted nine qualifying spots on one-meter, and McPherson took the last one, finishing with a seven-point cushion over 10th-place finisher Kyndal Knight (Kentucky). McPherson's qualification means Michigan will have at least one diver at the NCAA Championships for the sixth consecutive year.
Freshman Allie Klein also made the final, but finished a few spots shy of qualifying, taking 11th (532.30).
The NCAA Zone C Diving Championships conclude Saturday (March 16) in West Lafayette, Indiana, with both the men and women on the platform. Preliminaries begin at 11 a.m. for the women, and 1 p.m. for the men.
