ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The conference-leading University of Michigan baseball team (36-11, 14-3, Big Ten) will host its final home series of the regular season this weekend (May 10-12) against second-place Indiana (31-17, 12-6 Big Ten) at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium. Friday's (May 10) game will be broadcast live at 8 p.m. ESPNU, with Saturday's (May 11) game on BTN Plus at 2 p.m. and Sunday's (May 12) 2 p.m. finale on the Big Ten Network.
• Michigan will go into the weekend on a 13-game win streak, which marks its longest win streak of the 2019 season. The Wolverines made history during the 2018 campaign with a 20-game win streak through March and April, which marked the third-longest win streak in program history. Michigan's current streak includes victories over Ohio State, Bowling Green, Michigan State, and Eastern Michigan, as well as series sweeps of Northwestern, Rutgers, and Maryland.
• The Wolverines are 21-2 when playing at home this season. When playing at Ray Fisher Stadium, the Maize and Blue is batting .311 and has outscored its opponents by 129 runs. The Michigan pitching staff has held opponents to a .205 average and combined for a 2.16 earned-run average when inside the Wilpon Complex.
• Michigan sits atop the Big Ten Conference with a 14-3 record and leads the league with the highest overall win percentage (.766). The Wolverines have suffered just one Big Ten series loss this season after dropping two of three games at Ohio State (April 12-13), but swept Michigan State, Northwestern, Rutgers, and Maryland with an additional series win against Minnesota. Michigan was picked by the league's coaches to finish second in the Big Ten this season.
• Three Wolverines are hitting above the .300 mark going into the weekend, including junior Jordan Brewer (.366), sophomore Jordan Nwogu (.348), and senior Blake Nelson (.343). Brewer leads the Big Ten in slugging (.665), while Nwogu ranks first in on-base percentage (.480). Sophomore Jesse Franklin also leads the conference with 37 walks.
• Michigan's offense leads the Big Ten in batting average (.289), on-base percentage (.393), walks (243), stolen bases (75) and sacrifice flies (26). The Wolverines also rank in the top three among conference opponents in total hits, runs, doubles, home runs, and slugging percentage.
• The Wolverines' 2.95 ERA leads the Big Ten Conference and ranks second-best in the nation. The pitching staff also holds a conference-best seven shutout victories, which ranks tied for third most in the country.
• Michigan was ranked in four polls this week, including Collegiate Baseball (No. 19), Perfect Game (No. 21), Baseball America (No. 23), and the NCBWA (No. 24). The Wolverines also are receiving votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll. Michigan has been ranked or receiving votes in the national polls each week dating back to the preseason rankings.
• Junior-college transfer Jordan Brewer's 32-game reached-base streak came to an end Tuesday (May 7) against Michigan State. The outfielder knocked in a run and scored one of his own when he reached first base via fielder's choices in both the seventh and eighth innings. Brewer jump-started a new streak on Wednesday (May 8) with three hits in a 10-1 rout of Eastern Michigan.
• Sophomore Jesse Franklin knocked his team-leading 12th homer of the season on Tuesday (May 7) with a bomb over the right-field wall in the third inning. With 22 career home runs in his sophomore season, Franklin ranks tied for 15th all-time at Michigan.
» With a save in Friday's (May 3) win at Maryland, freshman right-hander Willie Weiss clinched his ninth save of the year and ranks third all-time for saves in a single season. Set in 2014 by Tampa Bay Rays prospect Jacob Cronenworth and tied in 2017 by Jackson Lamb, Michigan's all-time record for saves in a single season is 12.
» Junior lefty Tommy Henry needs three more strikeouts to surpass Michigan's Fritz Fisher in the all-time record book and rank tied for 12th with 85. Henry also ranks 13th in program history with 198 career Ks.
