PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- Former University of Michigan men's lacrosse standout Brent Noseworthy (2016-19) was selected by the Buffalo Bandits with the 12th overall pick in the annual National Lacrosse League on Tuesday night (Sept. 17).
Noseworthy is the third Wolverine alum in the indoor lacrosse league, joining Kyle Jackson (2013-16) of the Rochester Knighthawks and Mikie Schlosser (2014-17) of the San Diego Seals. Jackson was picked No. 7 overall by Rochester in the 2016 NLL draft.
Noseworthy becomes the first Wolverine in program history to be drafted in three professional leagues in one season, as he was selected 30th overall by the Boston Cannons in the Major League Lacrosse Draft and 23rd by Atlas Lacrosse Club in the inaugural Premier Lacrosse League Draft. Noseworthy and Cornell's Clarke Petterson are the only 2019 NLL first-round picks who were also drafted by the MLL and PLL.
Noseworthy's indoor background includes stops with his current team, the Brooklin Lacrosse Club (MSL), as well as stints with junior teams Burlington Chiefs (Junior A) and Oakville Buzz (Junior B).
This past year was Noseworthy's first full season as an indoor field player, and he scored four goals and six points in 14 games. He played the majority of his youth career as a goalie.
Noseworthy is U-M's all-time leading goal scorer (102) and second-leading point getter (119). He also owns the Michigan single-season records for points (48) and goals (41).
