• U-M is 8-3 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament and has won the tournament two times with back-to-back championships in 2023 and 2024.
• Last week, Michigan outscored Ohio State in three of the four quarters and had eight different goal scorers, while 11 total players recorded a point. Hunter Taylor made 13 saves and the defense caused seven turnovers. • The Michigan defense has forced 224 turnovers this season, with 113 caused turnovers — including seven against Ohio State. Clay ranks second in the conference with 23 caused turnovers this season, while Tominovich ranks fourth in the Big Ten with 21.

• Shannehan started all 14 games and ranked second on the team with 36 points and 26 goals as a freshman. The Fairfield, Conn., native was a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week after opening his collegiate career with seven points, including five goals, against Mercyhurst and scoring the game-winning goal in the final 12 seconds of U-M's game against Penn State. Shannehan has put together eight multi-point games with two five-goal outings.
• Michigan set a program record opening the season, scoring 24 goals against Mercyhurst. The Wolverines eclipsed the previous program record of 23 goals, set on Feb. 22, 2022, against Canisius. U-M went on a 14-1 run to open the game and finished with another 10 straight goals in the victory.
• A win against Johns Hopkins would send U-M to its third Big Ten Tournament Championship appearance on Saturday (May 2) against the winner of Maryland and Penn State.
