Big Ten Tournament: Semifinals
The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team made an appearance in the Big Ten Tournament semifinal contest for the first time since 2024, while taking on nine ranked opponents in the nation's 24th-toughest schedule in head coach Kevin Conry's ninth season leading the Wolverines.

Team Highlights
• Michigan set a program record to open the 2026 season, scoring 24 goals against Mercyhurst. The Wolverines broke the previous program single-game record of 23 goals (Feb. 22, 2022, against Canisius). U-M went on a 14-1 run to open the game and finished with another 10 straight goals.
• The Wolverines took on nine ranked opponents, defeating No. 8 Penn State, No. 9 Ohio State and No. 13 Rutgers.
• The Michigan defense forced teams into 237 turnovers this season, with 127 caused turnovers. Rowan Clay ranked second in the conference with 25 caused turnovers this season, while Will Tominovich ranked fourth in the Big Ten with 21.
• U-M held the high-powered No. 1 Notre Dame offense to nine goals -- seven below its season average of 16.

Individual Highlights
• Junior defender Clay notched USA Lacrosse All-America honorable mention citations and was a first team All-Big Ten selection. He led the backline with a team-best 25 caused turnovers to rank second in the Big Ten.
• Junior Nick Roode led the Michigan offense with 43 points, including a team-high 37 goals. Roode was a second-team All-Big Ten honoree and earned Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week on one occasion. The attacker produced 13 multi-point contests and 12 multi-goal contests this season with a season-best five points in two outings. Roode also added 19 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
• Freshman Luke Shannehan made his mark in his first season with the Wolverines, ranking second on the team with 39 points (28 goals and 11 assists). Shannehan started all 15 games and was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection and a two-time Big Ten Freshman of the Week after opening his collegiate debut with seven points, including five goals, against Mercyhurst and scoring the game-winning goal in the final 12 seconds against Penn State. He put together nine multi-point games with two five-goal outings.
• Freshman Adam Udell found his groove in the second half of the season, leading the Wolverine offense in back-to-back games against Ohio State and was a Big Ten All-Freshman Team selection. In the Big Ten Tournament quarterfinal contest, Udell had a team-high four points with two goals and two assists. Before the postseason began, Udell put together a career-best game with six points, including a career-high five goals, against OSU in the regular-season finale.
• Senior goalie Hunter Taylor recorded a season-best 17 saves against Notre Dame, just one shy of his career high. Taylor broke the Michigan career saves record with 554, passing Gerald Logan, who recorded 539 from 2013-26. In his final season as a Wolverine, Taylor made 154 saves; he also scored a goal in U-M's final contest against Johns Hopkins.
