
Michigan to Host Wolverine Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's tennis team will kick off tournament action when it hosts the Wolverine Invitational this weekend (Sept. 20-22) at the Varsity Tennis Center. There is no team scoring (win or loss) at the event. Admission is free and the forecast calls for action outdoors.
U-M enters the fall season with a pair of ranked singles players in seniors Chiara Lommer (No. 26) and Giulia Pairone (No. 47).

Michigan, Arizona State, Charlotte, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Western Michigan, Yale
Format of Play
The weekend will consist of round-robin action as each team will compete in both singles and doubles against each other. There is no team scoring at the event and everyone is competing as an individual.
Match Scoring
For the fifth consecutive year, the NCAA will use no-ad scoring in both doubles and singles action. This weekend's tournament will feature doubles matches to six, with a tiebreaker occurring at 6-all. Singles matches will be best two-of-three, with players playing a full third set.
