ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's lacrosse team travels to Maryland for a pair of contests over spring break, taking on Towson on Sunday (Feb. 26) at 1 p.m. at Tiger Field before traveling to Spark, Md. on Wednesday (March 2) for a 1 p.m. contest at the US Lacrosse Facility against High Point.
Wolverine Bites
• After a pair of wins this past weekend, Michigan moved up to No. 10 in the IL Women/IWLCA Coaches Poll. The Wolverines also sit at No. 9 in the USA Lacrosse Magazine weekly poll.
• Fifth year senior Caitlin Muir broke the Michigan points record in the first week of the season and now has 175 points (100 goals, 75 assists). Muir is also just the fourth player in Michigan women's lacrosse history to score 100 career goals joining Kim Coughlan, Jess Angerman and Anna Schueler after netting four goals against Arizona State. In order to become the all-time leader in goals, Muir would need to score 24 goals in the 2022 season to pass Coughlan, who netted 124 career goals.
• Senior Kaitlyn Mead is 15 draw control wins away from 100 in her career. She would be the fifth Wolverine to reach 100 draw control wins.
• In its first four games of the season, Michigan has had 20 different goal scorers with 14 finding the back of the cage on at least two occasions. Senior Erin Garvey leads the Wolverines with seven goals on the season, while Kaitlyn Mead and Kaylee Dyer each have six and five different players have all scored five times. Fifth year senior Caitlin Muir has a team-best 13 points with five goals and eight assists, while Caroline Davis has 11 points and Dyer has 10.
• Michigan has scored 20-or-more goals twice this season, including a program-best 23 goals in its season-opener against Detroit Mercy (Feb. 11) and 20 goals at Cincinnati (Feb. 20), which marked the fourth win of the 2022 campaign.

Towson
Michigan and Towson are tied 1-1 in the all-time series
Michigan and Towson each have one win in the series with U-M picking up the latest 12-11 win in the 2019 meeting between the two programs.
The Tigers are 0-2 after falling to No. 9 Loyola University in their most recent contest. Towson carries a .633 shots-on-goal percentage with 31 of its 49 shots being on cage and has scored eight free position goals. Halley Koras and Kerri Thornton lead the Tigers with five goals each, while Milana Zizakovic has three goals and two assists. Zizakovic leads the team on the draw with seven wins and Sara Tyssowski has made both starts in the cage with 21 saves.
High Point
Michigan trails 0-2 in the all-time series
High Point leads the series against Michigan, 2-0, with the last meeting between the two teams occurring during the 2017 campaign.
The Panthers are 0-2 this season with losses to Davidson and Duke. High Point has been outscored 34-21 by its opponents and is losing the draw control 34-26. The offense is led by Abby Hormes, who has eight points (6 goals, 2 assists), Nicole Pugh, who has six points (2 goals, 4 assists), and Kay Rosselli, who has five points (4 goals, 1 assist). Hormes and Emma Genovese lead the Panther draw control with seven and six wins, respectively. In the cage, Penn State transfer Taylor Suplee has started both games with 18 saves.
