ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The visiting Xavier University baseball team hit four home runs Tuesday (May 10) as the Musketeers defeated Michigan by a score of 10-3 at the Wilpon Complex, home of Ray Fisher Stadium.

Xavier (26-23) staked itself to a 3-0 lead thanks to a pair of long solo home runs and a defensive miscue before Michigan (24-21) got back into the game with two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning. Riley Bertram doubled home a run and scored on a wild pitch for a Wolverine squad that stranded five base runners through those first four frames.

The score remained 3-2 in favor of Xaver until the seventh inning, when Jerry Huntzinger unloaded a two-run homer to left. Out out and a hit batter later, another run came around on an outfield error and made the score 6-2 in favor of the visitors.

Tito Flores plated a run in the bottom of the seventh with a two-out RBI single up the middle, but Xavier opened the game with four runs in the eighth, powered by another two-run homer from Huntzinger.

Bertram led the Michigan offense with two hits.

Michigan will return to action on Wednesday night (May 11) when the Wolverines host Wright State on Dollar Day. Dollar discounts for the game will include $1 General Admission tickets as well as $1 hot dogs, 16oz. fountain drinks, chips and bottled water. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. at Ray Fisher Stadium.
