The two-day, 36-hole (18-18) event will be played in Birmingham, Mich., at the famed Birmingham Country Club.

• The Wolverines will have three individuals competing in the Chippewa Invitational. The trio will be made up of graduate senior Mikaela Schulz, sophomore Sydney Sung and redshirt-freshman Mara Janess.
• Schulz will make her season debut after returning to the Wolverines by utilizing the NCAA's extra year of eligibility due to COVID-19. She has 28 starts in 32 career events and has averaged 75.72 strokes in 92 collegiate rounds. In her first appearance as an individual, she won EMU's 2019 Shirley Spork Invitational (212, -4).
• Michigan has continued to shine in the final round, averaging 289.33. Both of the Wolverines' top team totals have come in the final 18 -- a 283 (-5) at the Glass City Invitational (Sept. 25-26) and a 284 (-4) at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational. U-M is nearly eight shots better in the last round -- 299.00 (first) and 296.67 (second). Overall U-M is carrying a 295.00 team average.
• Using four straight sub-par rounds, Monet Chun has taken over the scoring average lead at 72.44. Twice she has fired a season-low round of 67 (-5), and she has posted back-to-back sub-par 54-hole totals and top 10 finishes -- sixth at the Glass City Invitational and third at the Ruth's Chris Invitational. Chun's 217.33 average is currently two strokes better than any other season.
• Returning to international play, Chun is scheduled to play with Team Canada at the 2023 World Amateur Team Championships (Oct. 25-28) at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club in United Arab Emirates. Chun is part of a four-member team as she will play with teammates Katie Cranston (Auburn), Lauren Kim (Texas) and captain Salimah Mussani (Stanford alum).
• Hailey Borja has opened her fifth season posting three straight top 25 finishes while carrying a 73.33 per-round average. With a season-low 218 (+2) at the Mary Fossum Invitational, she posted her 13th career top 10 finish after tying for ninth. Twice this season she has fired a season-low round of 69 (-3) and she now has 31 career sub-par tallies -- passing Ashley Lau's U-M record of 30.
• Borja is scheduled to make her 43rd career start at the Stanford Intercollegiate. Having not missed an even in her career, Borja is eighth all-time for career starts and could catch U-M's all-time leader Laura Olin (50; 2002-05).
• Sidney Yermish has continued to adjust to the collegiate game. Starting all three events this season, they are averaging 75.11 per round. In their final round of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational, they broke through firing a career-low 68 (-4) -- their first career sub-par tally.
