
Michigan Set to Host ITA Midwest Regional

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team will host the ITA Midwest Regional Championships from Thursday through Monday (Oct. 19-23) at the Varsity Tennis Center. The winners of both the main singles draw and the main doubles draw will receive automatic berths to the ITA National Fall Championships, Nov. 2-3.
The tournament will be held indoors and admission is free each day.
Michigan is hosting the event for the first time since 2017. Last year, it was an all-Michigan singles final with Andrew Fenty outlasting Gavin Young for the title in a 6-4, 7-6 (6) final that was held in Ann Arbor. The pair also was in the doubles final but ultimately fell to a duo from Wisconsin in three sets.
