• Michigan is looking to bounce back after dropping its third game of the season last time out. U-M is 2-0 after a loss this season, rebounding from dropping the championship game at the Battle 4 Atlantis to No. 23 Ole Miss by defeating Eastern Michigan 80-44 and trouncing Illinois 84-48 after a loss to Toledo. U-M went 7-2 last season after a loss.
• Michigan has already had four games this season with at least 10 three-pointers, tying a school record with 14 against SIUE (Nov. 29), hitting 13 twice (at Illinois, Dec. 10; vs. Miami, Dec. 16) and putting in 10 against Eastern Michigan (Nov. 24). It is the first time since the 2017-18 season that Michigan has had multiple games with at least 10 three-pointers. U-M had three instances in that season, including a game in which Katelynn Flaherty set a school record by hitting 10 three-pointers against Penn State (Dec. 28, 2017).
• Michigan ranked 11th in the conference last season in three-pointers made, hitting just 5.9 per game on a 33.9 percent clip (fifth). This season, U-M is currently sixth in the league at 7.9 three-pointers per game on 37.1 percent shooting, good for third.

U-M also is second in the conference in rebounding margin at +10.3, taking advantage of the offensive rebounds and holding opponents to just 30.5 caroms per game. The Wolverines have outrebounded their opponent in all but two games, going 9-1 when grabbing more. U-M is 0-2 when being outrebounded.
• Lauren Hansen has found her scoring groove in the month of December, averaging 12.8 points per game over the last five. She is shooting 47.7 percent from the floor and 45 percent from deep. Hansen has scored in double figures in three of the last five games, highlighted by her first 20-point game in a Michigan uniform with 21 points against Florida to get her to double-figure scoring on the season (10.6 ppg).
• Michigan has a pair of double-figure scorers in Laila Phelia (14.9) and Hansen (10.6), with Jordan Hobbs (9.8), Elissa Brett (7.5), Taylor Williams (6.2) and Chyra Evans (6.1) each averaging at least six points per contest.
