Rynda finished in 2:02.99, just one-tenth of a second shy of her career-best time (2:02.89). The program leader in the event defeated her closest opponent, unattached Mallory King (2:05.16), by nearly three seconds.

Michigan's sprints crew saw top-five finishes from BreeAna Bates and Nikki Stephens. In the 60 meters, Bates finished fifth in 7.47 seconds. Stephens also finished fifth, running 54.27 in the 400 meters.
As the only field competitor of the day, Mia Manson cleared 4.08 meters (13 feet, 4.5 inches) in the pole vault to take third. She now has placed in the top five at every meet this season.
