Notes
• TCU comes to Ann Arbor in the first game in a home-and-home series. Next year, the Wolverines will head to Fort Worth and a game at Schollmaier Arena.
• TCU has rattled off three straight wins to start the 2024-25 season -- against Florida A&M (105-59), Florida Gulf Coast (67-51) and Texas State (76-71). The Horned Frogs have shot 51.6 percent from the field and have four players averaging in double figures, led by Vasean Allette's 13.0 average.
• This will be the first meeting between the Wolverines and Horned Frogs in 62 years. Michigan and TCU have only played once -- on Dec. 13, 1962, at Yost Field House. In U-M's 82-60 victory, U-M legend Bill Buntin paced the Maize and Blue with 19 points and 19 rebounds, while John Harris had 17 points and 17 rebounds. Tom Cole added 13 points. The Wolverines held TCU's leading scorer Jerry Wade to nine points, but Archie Clayton paced the Horned Frogs with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
• Frankie Collins, who played for the Wolverines during his freshman year (2021-22), returns to Ann Arbor as a guard for the Horned Frogs. Transferring to Arizona State for two seasons, he is using his final year of eligibility in Fort Worth. With U-M, Collins (2.8 ppg, 1.7 rpg, and 1.4 apg) played in 31 games and helped the Maize and Blue advance to the 2022 NCAA Sweet 16.
