
Maize and Blue to Head to Clemson, Windy City Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will hit the road for the second straight week, heading to Clemson, S.C., for the Tiger Paw Invitational on Friday (Feb. 9) and to Chicago, Ill., for the Windy City Invitational, hosted by Wisconsin, on Friday and Saturdsy (Feb. 9-10).
Notes
• Aasia Laurencin will be the lone U-M competitor at the Tiger Paw Invitational, running the 60-meter hurdles on Friday at 12:05 p.m., while the rest of the Wolverines will head to Chicago.
• U-M is coming off its first road meet of the season at the Meyo Invitational hosted by Notre Dame on Feb. 2-3.
• On day one of the meet, Maria Deaviz finished fourth in the shot put with a mark of 15.81m (51 feet, 10.5 inches).
• The jumpers had a strong meet, finishing first and third in the triple jump. Riley Ammenhauser placed first with a season-best mark of 12.71 meters (41 feet, 8.5 inches) while Nadia Saunders finished third with a mark of 12.17m (39 feet, 11.25 inches).
• Gabbie Michael ran a personal best 10:06.63 in the 3,000-meter open for a ninth-place finish. Katelynne Hart and Leah Hill competed in the 3,000-meter final later in the day, with Hart finishing 13th (9:45.29) and Hill finishing 14th with a personal best of 10:00.30.
• In the 800-meter run, Hannah Pricco ran a personal-best 2:13.16 for a 10th-place finish. Mara Longenecker and Caroline Vance both clocking personal bests in the mile, with Longenecker finishing eighth (4:54.62) and Vance, 16th (4:59.86).
