WACO, Texas -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team opened the weekend at the Clyde Hart Invitational on Friday (March 22).
Sidney Green ran 58.48 in the 400-meter hurdles to finish fifth. Green's time is the No. 5 fastest time in the NCAA and ties for the No. 7 fastest time in program history. Aasia Laurencin posted a personal-best in the 200-meter dash, finishing 16th with a time of 24.27.
Lani Bloom took second in the 1500-meter run, with her time of 4:21.84 being No. 11 in the NCAA. Lisa Luecke finished 11th with a time of 4:35.71 in her outdoor debut.
In the discus throw, Corinne Jemison earned a fourth-place finish with a mark of 51.11m (167-08). Elizabeth Tapper finished 14th in the hammer throw with a mark of 50.92m (167-0), while Trinity Franklin threw for a personal best 45.74m (150-0) to finish 21st.
Riley Ammenhauser finished 10th in the long jump (5.78m) and Mia Manson finished 13th (5.69m).
U-M will close out the weekend with day two of the USF Alumni Invitational on Saturday, March 23 at 11 a.m. (CT).
