
U-M to Open Indoor Track Slate Across Two Sites

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will compete across a pair of sites to open its indoor season. On Friday (Dec. 5), a group of Wolverines will head to South Bend, Ind., for the Blue and Gold Invitational at the Loftus Sports Center. On Saturday (Dec. 6), another U-M contingent will compete at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at the Boston U. Track and Tennis Center.
Notes
• Michigan will send seven sprinters and 15 distance runners across both sites.
• Sidney Green, Payton Smith, Anjali Hocker Singh, Rylee Tolson and Penelopea Gordon are among the Wolverines expected to return to the lineup.
• At Notre Dame, Mara Longenecker and Hannah Pricco will open the meet in the mile run at 3:10 p.m., while a pair of relay teams will close out the day in the 4x400-meter relay at 6:05 p.m.
• Alyna Lewis, Coraline Haggarty and Emmry Ross will open the day in Boston, Mass., with the mile run at noon and Gordon will run in the 3,000-meter run at 3:12 p.m.
• Freshmen Caroline Beiting, Ross, Lauren Bickerdt and Sydney Kuhn are expected to make their collegiate debuts.
