
Michigan Notches Four NCAA “B” Cuts at Last Chance Meet

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- Four swimmers from the No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team participated in the Last Chance Meet on Sunday (March 2) at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Leila Fack, Natalie Kan, and Ella Jo Piersma competed in the 100-yard butterfly. Kan led the way with an NCAA "B" cut time of 52.01, while Piersma also met the provisional standard with a time of 52.60. Big Ten All-Freshman honoree Fack rounded out the heat for the Maize and Blue with a time of 52.78.
Malia Amuan raced in the 200-yard freestyle, posting a time of 1:45.17 to earn an NCAA "B" cut.
Michigan will return to action on Monday, March 10, when the diving team travels to Columbus, Ohio, for the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships.
