
Michigan to Close Regular Season at Home With Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will close out its regular season slate at home, hosting the Len Paddock Open on Friday (May 9) at the U-M Track and Field Stadium. Field action will begin at 11 a.m. with the hammer throw, while track action will begin at 1:05 p.m. with the 4x100m relay.

• A pair of event groups are ranked in the latest U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Event Squad Rankings, with the shot put squad remaining at No. 4 and the 400-meter hurdles squad remaining at No. 10.
• The Wolverines were in Durham, N.C., for the Duke Twilight on May 4, setting a pair of top-10 program marks to close out regular-season road competition.
• Sidney Green finished first in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best time of 56.96 seconds, moving up to No. 2 on the program performers list. The time is No. 19 in the NCAA and No. 2 in the Big Ten.
• In the pole vault, Kourtney Rathke cleared a personal-best 4.09 meters (13 feet, 5 inches) to sit at No. 7 on the program performers list. Rathke is just the eighth Wolverine to clear 4.00m and holds the third-best pole vault mark by a freshman in program history.
• Shot put program record-holder Elizabeth Tapper came just 0.02m from her personal best with a mark of 17.27m (56-8) for the win, while Abigail Russell finished second (15.79m/51-9.75) and Trinity Franklin finished third (15.60m/51-2.25) with a season-best mark.
• The 4x100m relay team of Payton Smith, Noelani Phillips, Trinity Henderson and Green posted a season-best time of 45.59 to finish first and come just 0.37 seconds short of tying the No. 10 time on the program performers list.
• Leah Hill finished sixth in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with a personal-best 10:33.31, shaving nearly 18 seconds off her previous best.
