ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will close out its 2025 season Thursday through Saturday (June 12-14) at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., hosted by Oregon at Hayward Field. The NCAA Championships will air on the ESPN family of networks.
Notes
• Five individuals and one relay team will represent the Wolverines: Sidney Green (4x400-meter relay), Clare McNamara (heptathlon), Noelani Phillips (4x400-meter relay), Abigail Russell (shot put), Payton Smith (4x400-meter relay), Savannah Sutherland (400-meter hurdles, 4x400-meter relay), Elizabeth Tapper (shot put) and Emma Yungeberg (javelin throw).
• Green, McNamara, Phillips, Russell, Smith and Tapper will be making their NCAA Outdoor Championships debut.
• At last year's NCAA Championships, Sutherland finished second in the 400-meter hurdles after setting the program and Canadian national record in the event in both the preliminaries (54.04 seconds) and the finals (53.26). The senior finished first overall at the NCAA East First Round last weekend, setting the meet record with a time of 54.39.
• Yungeberg made her NCAA Championships debut last season, finishing 14th in the javelin throw with a then-program mark of 52.36 meters (171 feet, 9 inches). At the NCAA East First Round, she finished seventh (52.97m/173-9) and came just 0.11m shy of her personal best.
• The 4x400-meter relay team of Green, Sutherland, Smith and Phillips set a program record for the second time this season at the NCAA East First Round, finishing 10th with a time of 3:29.22.

• McNamara qualified for the NCAA Championships after an impressive showing at the Big Ten Championships, setting six personal bests -- including a heptathlon score of 5,698 points to finish sixth and notch third on the program performers list. Her personal best javelin throw mark of 51.54m (161-9) is second on the program performers list, which makes the graduate student just the third Wolverine to break 50 meters.
• The women will compete on Thursday and Saturday (June 12 and 14), with the heptathlon running on Friday and Saturday (June 13 and 14). The javelin throw will be the first event for the Wolverines, beginning at 5:15 p.m. PT on Thursday.
