
U-M to Wrap New Jersey Swing at Rutgers

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 7-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (15-3, 6-1 Big Ten) returns to conference action, facing Rutgers (9-9, 1-6 Big Ten) on Thursday evening (Jan. 22) at Jersey Mike's Arena. The game is set for 6 p.m. and will air on the Big Ten Network.
Notes
• Michigan returns to Big Ten action for the rest of the season after wrapping up non-conference play with a three-point loss (72-69) to No. 5-ranked Vanderbilt in the Coretta Scott King Classic on Monday (Jan. 19) in Newark.
• U-M has won six straight against the Scarlet Knights and is 9-5 against RU as Big Ten opponents.
• Michigan has won four straight Big Ten games and is tied for third in the conference with a 6-1 record through seven games. U-M holds a +19.0 scoring margin in conference contests.
• J. Ira and Nicki Harris Family Head Women's Basketball Coach Kim Barnes Arico picked up the 299th win of her Michigan career in an 85-69 win over No. 25 Illinois (Jan. 15). With one more win, she will become the first Michigan basketball coach -- men's or women's -- to reach the 300-win mark in Ann Arbor.
• Michigan has four players scoring in double figures in sophomores Olivia Olson (17.8 ppg), Syla Swords (13.8 ppg), Mila Holloway (12.3 ppg) and Te'Yala Delfosse (11.1 ppg).
• Kendall Dudley has turned it on of late, most recently recording a career-high 16 points on 8-for-10 shooting and four assists in 23 minutes against No. 5 Vanderbilt. It marked the third time she has scored in double figures this season and the second time in the last three games. On the year, she is averaging 5.8 points and 4.0 rebounds in 17.5 minutes per game.
• Brooke Quarles Daniels reached the 1,000-point mark against Wisconsin (Jan. 11), putting up eight points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals. She is just the 17th player this season to hit those numbers in a game, according to Her Hoop Stats. In Michigan's game against No. 5 Vanderbilt, she recorded seven points, 10 rebounds and four assists while holding Mikayla Blakes to 14 points. On the season, she has appeared in all 18 games while starting 14 times. She is averaging 6.1 points and 5.7 rebounds in 23.9 minutes per game. BQD leads U-M with 42 steals, racking up nine games with at least three.
• Michigan returns home on Sunday (Jan. 25) to host USC at 3 p.m. U-M will honor Katelynn Flaherty before the game, raising her No. 3 jersey to the rafters. The pregame ceremony will begin at 2:45, with doors opening at 1:45 p.m.
