Notes
• Michigan will host its final meet of the regular season before the Big Ten Championships after a rivalry victory over 12th-ranked Ohio State, 162-136, on Jan. 17. The win continues the Wolverines' undefeated record. U-M will celebrate the seven-member senior class at Saturday's meet for everything they've accomplished in Ann Arbor and beyond.
• Following last Saturday's victory, Bella Sims was named Big Ten Swimmer of the Week for the second time this season on Jan. 21. Sims won all three events she competed in (200 backstroke, 200 freestyle, 200 IM) while also holding top-10 times nationally in all three events on the season.
• Hannah Bellard added another win in the 200-yard butterfly to her incredible season. She holds the top time nationally in that event and also checks in with the second-best time in the conference for the 500 free.
• The Maize and Blue swept the team events (200-yard medley relay, 400 freestyle relay) against the Buckeyes to continue their dominant run in relay events, achieving the fastest Big Ten times in all four of the relay events it has competed in this season.
• Brady Kendall added two first-place finishes to secure the win, posting a time of 21.62 seconds in the 50 free, and a 51.4 in the 100 fly. Her times in both events rank top five in the nation.
• Letitia Sim touched the wall in 2:08.18 to pick up a win in the 200-yard breaststroke, and also finished just behind Sims to place second in the 200 IM. Sim holds the third-best time in the country in the 200 breast.
• U-M will face Denison for the first time in program history, looking to stay undefeated heading into the Big Ten Championships in February.
