
Wolverines Travel to Face Eastern Michigan in Midweek Affair

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan baseball team (14-13) will return to action in the state of Michigan, heading to Ypsilanti for a midweek contest against Eastern Michigan (10-17) on Tuesday (March 31). First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Oestrike Stadium, with the game available on ESPN+.
Notes
• Michigan posted a 3-2 record last week, highlighted by a series win over Rutgers after taking the final two games. The Wolverines fell 7-6 to Oakland on March 24 before bouncing back with a 5-2 win over Toledo on March 25. After dropping the series opener to Rutgers, U-M responded with an 11-5 victory on March 28 and secured the series with a 6-2 win in the finale.
• Colby Turner paced the Wolverines offensively, hitting .550 with a .950 slugging percentage across five games. The junior tallied 11 hits, including four for extra bases and two home runs, and recorded at least one hit in every game. He also went a perfect 4-for-4 in Saturday's win over Rutgers. On the season, Turner leads the team with a .383 average, 1.096 OPS, seven home runs, 22 runs scored, and 25 RBIs.
• Grant Bradley earned the start in Michigan's most recent midweek game, delivering a career-high six innings against Toledo. The sophomore allowed two runs on four hits while striking out three to earn his second win of the season. After opening the year with 14 scoreless innings, Bradley now owns a 2.53 ERA with 14 strikeouts over 21.1 innings pitched.
• Noah Miller contributed consistently in the Rutgers series, collecting five hits, scoring three runs, and driving in four while reaching base in all three games. He recorded doubles and runs in the first two contests before adding a two-hit performance in the finale. Miller is hitting .298 with eight runs and 11 RBIs across 18 starts this season.
• Evan Haeger continued to provide power, recording four hits in the Rutgers series—all for extra bases. Haeger's best game came on Saturday, when he went 3-for-5 with two home runs and a double. He added a RBI triple in the series opener. The redshirt sophomore is third on the team in batting average, hitting .286 and second in OPS with a .912. Â
• Cooper Mullens led off the final two games against Rutgers after 11 pinch-hit appearances over the first 25 games of the season. Mullens doubled in both games and scored twice in the 11-5 win on Saturday. He holds a .250 average this year with a .400 on-base percentage while scoring five runs on four hits.
• Eastern Michigan enters the matchup at 10-17 overall following a series sweep of Central Michigan. The Eagles have won six straight games and hold a 6-2 record at Oestrike Stadium. Both teams share a common opponent in Michigan State, with EMU falling 13-5 while Michigan secured a 2-0 win on March 18.Â
• Michigan holds a 126-65-2 advantage in the all-time series, including a 46-30-2 record in Ypsilanti. Since 2000, the Wolverines are 31-17 against Eastern Michigan, though the teams have split the last four meetings. Michigan claimed the most recent matchup with a 13-2 win on the road. Â
