
Turner Garners Second All-America Honor of 2026 Season

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- For the second time in three days, Colby Turner of the University of Michigan baseball team was named to an All-American team, this time by the American Baseball Coaches Association and Rawlings, earning the second base spot on the third team, it was announced Friday (June 12).
Turner was selected to the the National College Baseball Writers Association All-America third team on Wednesday (June 10) after being named to the ABCA/Rawlings All-Midwest Region first team on Tuesday (June 9) and the All-Big Ten first team in May. This season, Turner led the Wolverines in 11 offensive categories, including batting average (.366), OPS (1.057) and stolen bases (12). He had the longest hitting streak in program history since 2000 at 24 games from March 21-April 26. The junior slashed .366/.432/.625 while scoring 57 runs while collecting 85 hits and 55 RBI. In conference play, Turner finished with a .371 batting average to rank fifth in the Big Ten and third among players who played in all 30 conference games.
He is the first Wolverine since Jordan Brewer in 2019 to earn multiple All-America honors and becomes the 11th Wolverine to earn ABCA third-team, the most recent being Jordan Nwogu (2019). Turner is the fifth second baseman in program history to earn an ABCA All-America selection and the second in program history to earn two in one season, joining Jeff Jacobson in 1982.
