Max Moore

Max Moore enters her second season as the graduate manager for the University of Michigan women's basketball team in 2024-25.
Moore graduated in 2023 from Wayne State with a degree in communication studies. She played basketball for the Warriors for two seasons (2021-22, 2022-23), averaging 6.6 points and 3.3 boards per game over the two years. In her final season of eligibility, she averaged 11.3 points per game on 47.7 percent shooting while also grabbing 5.3 rebounds per contest.
She participated in the WBCA's 'So You Want to Be a Coach' program this past spring and was a 2022-23 recipient of the D2 ADA Academic Achievement Award. Moore racked up the academic honors during her last season, earning a spot on the GLIAC All-Academic Excellence Team, College Sports Communicators Academic All-District mention and was selected to the BCAM College Academic Team.
Moore also played collegiately at Western Michigan and Detroit Mercy after starring at Detroit Country Day. She helped DCDS to three state championships and a 95-11 record over her four seasons.
Moore has spent time as an intern for both the New York Knicks and Herta Communications and Marketing. She coached with the Michigan Storm Elite prior to joining U-M, while also serving as a lead coach for Pistons Academy and a clinic coach for the City of Detroit Parks and Recreation Center. She provided analysis for the MHSAA girls basketball radio broadcast of the 2023 state championship.
Her ties to the University of Michigan run deep. Her grandfather, Lowell Perry Sr., is in the Michigan Hall of Honor after playing on the 1951 Rose Bowl Championship football team. Moore's uncle, Scott Perry, was an assistant coach for the men's basketball team during the 90s, helping U-M to the Elite Eight in 1994 and the 1997 NIT Championship.
While at Michigan, Moore will be pursuing her Master's of Sport Management.
