Bowling Green RF Lee Morrison added a two-run homer in the eighth inning for the final margin. Bowling Green (26-22-1) snapped a seven-game losing streak with the victory.
Michigan starter and loser sophomore RHP Bobby Wood (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek HS) did not allow a hit until the fifth inning, but he walked the first two batters of the game and then balked. BGSU grabbed a 2-0 first inning lead with a groundball out and a sacrifice fly.
Michigan evened the count in the bottom of the first, also using a pair of walks. Freshman 3B Brock Koman (Pueblo, Colo./South HS) singled in the first run and sophomore 1B Jeff Trzos (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington HS), who walked, scored on a wild pitch.
The Wolverines added two more runs and chased Bowling Green starter Deryck Griffith in the third inning. Junior DH David Parrish (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza HS) walked, Trzos singled and Koman walked to load the bases with one out. Freshman LF Jordan Cantalamessa (Englewood, Colo./Cherry Creek HS) singled in the go-ahead run that knocked out Griffith.
Junior/sophomore RF C.J. Ghannam (Farmington, Mich./Harrison HS) greeted reliever Brad Henry with a sacrifice fly and the lead was 4-2. Henry worked the last 6.2 innings and allowed just one more run on a Koman double and a Ghannam RBI single. The win for Henry was his first at the collegiate level.
Michigan plays a non-league game vs. Central Michigan on Wednesday (May 10, 3 p.m.) with sophomore LHP Kirk Taylor (Farmington Hills, Mich./North Farmington HS) on the mound with his 2-0 record (3.26 ERA).

Senior tri-captain Rob Bobeda (DeWitt, Mich./DeWitt HS) had his streak of games started this season snapped at 47. He was the only player that had started every game heading into the final week of the regular season.
Freshman 3B Brock Koman was 2-for-4 and collected his team-leading 15th double. He pushed his batting average back over the .300 mark (.301).
