ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team wrapped up its 2014 fall season with a 2-1 record, highlighted by wins over UMBC on Oct. 5 and over Fairfield on Oct. 12.
The Wolverines opened the fall season by playing two games at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium in Annapolis, Md., as U-M downed UMBC 11-10 in its first matchup of the day. In the second game, the Navy Midshipmen downed the Maize & Blue by a 9-6 count. Sophomore Mikie Schlosser had two goals on the day, while junior Kyle Jackson led the team in helpers with three.

The day closed out with the Wolverines knocking off Fairfield, the team that ended U-M's season a year ago in the ECAC Tournament, by a 13-8 count.
U-M outshot the Stags 41-29 in the game, which featured four goals from senior Mike Francia, two scores from David McCormack and another trio of assists from Jackson.
Following the competition dates, the Wolverines competed in Victors Week for the second straight season. The team competition featured nearly a dozen team events. The Blue Bullets team, led by stadium run winner senior Andrew Portnoy, accuracy shot winner junior Chase Brown and softball home run derby winner junior/sophomore Brendan Gaughan, took home the team prize.
Sophomore Stefan Bergman (lefty) and freshman Sean McCanna (righty) each took home the hardest shot title, with both reaching speeds of 99 miles per hour, while senior Will Meter won the wall ball competition with 50 reps.
