
Michigan to Start Busy Week with Home Game Against Detroit Mercy

» Michigan is leading the Big Ten in scoring defense (41.0 ppg), field goal percentage defense (.257) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.127).
» The Wolverines have three players scoring in double figures through two games in Hallie Thome (19.5 ppg), Naz Hillmon (15.0 ppg) and Kayla Robbins (10.5 ppg). The latter two pace Michigan's reserves, who are outscoring opponents, 66-21.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's basketball team (2-0) returns home to Crisler Center to host Detroit Mercy (1-3) on Monday evening (Nov. 19) at 7 p.m. Fans can get in free with their ticket stub to Saturday's (Nov. 17) football game against Indiana. There is also free youth admission.
• Michigan's bench has come to play this season, outscoring its opponents, 66-21. U-M outscored Mount St. Mary's (Nov. 9), 26-11, before exploding for a 40-10 margin at Western Michigan (Nov. 15). Naz Hillmon (15.0 ppg) and Kayla Robbins (10.5 ppg) are leading the U-M reserves, accounting for two of Michigan's three double-digit scorers.
• Senior Hallie Thome moved into third all-time at Michigan in career scoring in the win at Western Michigan (Nov. 15), pushing her total to 1,718 points. She is the fourth Wolverine in program history to reach the 1,700-point mark and passed Jennifer Smith's mark of 1,714 points. Thome is behind all-time leader Katelynn Flaherty (2,776) and Diane Dietz (2,076) on Michigan's all-time scoring list. In addition, Thome grabbed nine rebounds in the game to reach the 700-rebound mark. Thome and Smith are the only two Wolverines in school history to have at least 1,700 points and 700 rebounds in a career. Thome passed Jenny Ryan (698) for 12th all-time on the rebound list with 704 boards.
• The Wolverines are getting it done on the defensive side of the ball this season, allowing just 40 points in the opener and 42 points to Western Michigan (Nov. 15). Michigan held Mount St. Mary's to just 11 points in the second half of the season opener (Nov. 9), while holding WMU to just 14 total points in the second and third quarters. Michigan has held its opponents to single digits in four of eight quarters this season. • Detroit Mercy (1-3) is coming off a 78-59 loss to Miami (Ohio) on Friday (Nov. 16). The Titans are averaging 52.8 points per game on 36.9 percent shooting, while allowing 61.2 points per game on 42.2 percent shooting. Detroit Mercy has one double-figure scorer in Lexey Tobel (13.0 ppg), with Zoey Oatis (9.8 ppg) and Brittney Jackson (9.5 ppg) right behind. U-M leads the all-time series with the Titans, 15-12, and has won the last six. Michigan defeated Detroit Mercy, 86-50, last season in Detroit.
• Michigan fans will see a familiar face on the Detroit Mercy sidelines as former Wolverine Madison Ristovski is in her second season as an assistant coach for the Titans. Ristovski was a four-year letterwinner (2013-16) for the Maize and Blue, graduating 10th in three-pointers made (130) and second in three-point field goal percentage (.395).
• Michigan will not return to Crisler Center until hosting LIU Brooklyn on Dec. 6.
