• Michigan is 4-0 at home this season after sweeping its four-game homestand earlier this month, highlighted by a win over then-No. 17 Rutgers on Sept. 14. The Wolverines boast an impressive 174-53 record at their home facility since its 1995 inauguration, including a 69-16 mark over the last seven seasons. U-M posted an 11-2 record at Ocker Field last season, outscoring its home opposition, 43-5.
• The Wolverines have earned wins over ranked opponents in each of the last two weekends, with their 3-1 victory against Rutgers and a 1-0 win at No. 6 Penn State last Friday (Sept. 21). Michigan has faced six ranked opponents -- and will play another this weekend -- while three of its four losses have come against No. 1 UConn, No. 2 North Carolina and No. 3 Maryland. U-M lists fourth nationally in strength of schedule.
• Senior Emma Way leads the Big Ten and ranks seventh nationally with 1.10 a goals-per-game average. She also ranks 13th nationally with 2.40 points per game. She has scored in eight of the last nine games and leads the Wolverines with 11 goals on the season -- only two shy of her career best in the category. She has tallied three multi-goal efforts and owns four game-winning goals.
• Junior Meg Dowthwaite was successful on a late penalty stroke with just 1:53 remaining in regulation to earn her fourth goal of the season at Penn State last Friday. It was the Wolverines' second stroke goal this season and the first for Dowthwaite in her career.
• The Wolverines are 2-0 in overtime games this season, downing Pacific and Monmouth by identical 2-1 scores in back-to-back games two weekends ago. Michigan has had significant success in seven-on-seven play of late, with wins in eight of its last nine overtime games stretching back through the 2015 season.
• Eight Wolverines have made their official collegiate debuts this season: sophomore/freshmen Maya Gompper, Abbey Hutton and Emma Tamer, and freshmen Katie Anderson, Tina D'Anjolell, Kathryn Peterson, Sofia Southam and Anna Spieker.
• Michigan gained a pair of spots in response to its Penn State win, climbing to No. 6, in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA Coaches Poll of the season, released Tuesday (Sept. 25). [ Full NFHCA Poll ]
