The No. 19-ranked University of Michigan women's soccer will make its ninth appearance in the NCAA Tournament second round Friday (Nov. 22) at 3 p.m. when it takes on No. 4-seeded and No. 15-ranked Texas Tech at Dorrance Field in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
U-M to Make First NCAA Second Round Appearance Since 2013
• After earning a 2-1 victory over Bowling Green in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, the Wolverines advanced to the second round for the first time since 2013.
• The Wolverines' game against Bowling Green marked Michigan's 14th NCAA Tournament appearance and its first since the 2016 campaign.
• U-M advanced to the second round each season from 1998-2003 and made at least second-round appearances in 2012 and 2013.
• Michigan is 4-4-0 overall and 1-1-0 in neutral-site games in the NCAA Tournament second-round matches, having defeated Portland in State College, Pennsylvania, in 2012 and falling to Dartmouth in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, in 2001.
• The Maize and Blue are joined by two other Big Ten schools in the field of 32: Big Ten champion Wisconsin and Big Ten Tournament winner Penn State.
Wolverines Two Wins Away from Program Best
• This season, Michigan has produced one of its best campaigns in recent history, securing its first double-digit win campaign since 2016.
• The Wolverines need just two more wins to tie a program-best 18 wins set by the 1997 and 2013 squads.
• U-M has had 16 seasons with 10 wins or more, including five seasons in which it has won 16 games or more -- with its last being in the 2016 campaign.

• TTU has scored 44 goals this season and has allowed just 15 while averaging 2.10 goals per game.
• The Red Raiders are averaging 15.9 shots per game and have taken 120 corner kicks this season.
• Individually, Kristen Davis leads the team with 38 points (16 goals, six assists). Her points total is tied for 11th nationally and her 16 goals tie for 10th nationally.
• Demi Koulizakis ranks second on the team with 12 points (four goals, four assists).
• Texas Tech has used two keepers this season with Madison White starting 12 matches and Marrissa Zucchetto starting nine.
• White has made 55 saves this season and played a crucial role in TTU's NCAA first-round win over Pepperdine, which went to a shootout.
Hernandez Lifts Michigan First-Round Win
• Junior Nicki Hernandez completed a 2-1 comeback victory against Bowling Green in the first round of the NCAA Tournament, scoring the game-winner in the 79th minute.
• The junior midfielder intercepted a pass from the Bowling Green midfield and fired a shot that went over the keeper's head from 26 yards out for the goal.
• Hernandez also had a hand in Michigan's first goal, assisting on Danielle Wolfe's marker.
Beall, Loughman Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District
• Junior Hillary Beall and sophomore Raleigh Loughman were two of 13 players named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-District Five first team.
• The honor marked the first for Beall and Loughman; the duo also earned All-Big Ten honors on Oct. 31. Beall is a communication major, while Loughman is studying business administration.
