NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Senior Brent Noseworthy of the University of Michigan men's lacrosse team was selected by the Atlas Lacrosse Club with the 23rd overall pick in the inaugural Premier Lacrosse League College Draft late Tuesday (April 23).
Noseworthy is U-M's all-time leading scorer with 99 career goals and second-leading point getter (116 points). He also owns the Michigan single-season records for points (48) and goals (41).
A two-time Tewaaraton Award watch list honoree, Noseworthy was a 2018 All-Big Ten honoree and Inside Lacrosse All-American as a junior. He also was selected by the Boston Cannons with the third pick in the fourth round of the Major League Lacrosse Draft earlier this season.
Noseworthy is the second player with U-M ties to gain a spot in the upstart Premier Lacrosse League, as current assistant coach Justin Turri is a member of Chrome Lacrosse Club. The Atlas is coached by former U-M head coach John Paul, who guided Michigan through its first six seasons as a varsity program.
The inaugural 2019 Premier Lacrosse League season will get underway on June 1, beginning a 14-week season with stops in 12 major-market cities across the country. The PLL season will include 10 regular-season weekends, one all-star weekend and two playoff weekends, concluding with the championship weekend on Sept. 21. Midwest stops include Chicago (June 15-16) and Columbus, Ohio (Sept. 6-7).
