Jordan Brewer, Karl Kauffmann, Tommy Henry (June 13)
D1Baseball.com, Perfect Game All-America -- Junior outfielder Jordan Brewer earned third team All-American honors from D1Baseball.com and Perfect Game. The Big Ten Conference Player of the Year and an all-region selection, Brewer leads Michigan with a .338 batting average and has collected 31 extra-base hits, including 12 home runs, to go with 55 runs batted in. D1Baseball.com All-America -- Junior right-handed pitcher Karl Kauffmann earned third team All-American honors from D1Baseball.com. Kauffmann has shined in postseason play with victories over Creighton -- in which he did not allow a baserunner past first base in 8.2 innings -- and against No. 1-ranked UCLA, against which he took a one-hit shutout into the ninth inning. Kauffmann has a 10-5 record and a team-leading 2.59 earned-run average and has allowed just 90 hits and 30 walks while striking out 101 batters in 114.2 innings. » D1Baseball.com Release
Perfect Game All-America Honorable Mention -- Junior left-handed pitcher Tommy Henry earned All-American honorable mention accolades from Perfect Game. Henry boasta a 10-5 record with a 3.54 ERA, a .213 batting average-against and 117 strikeouts in 106.2 innings pitched against 92 hits and 25 walks. He earned national notice for being the only left-handed pitcher to defeat No.1-ranked UCLA this entire season – accomplishing the feat twice, including the deciding game of the Super Regional at Jackie Robinson Stadium. » Perfect Game Release

ABCA All-Mideast Region -- Junior outfielder Jordan Brewer earned first team All-Mideast Region from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Brewer is the Big Ten Conference Player of the Year. ABCA All-Mideast Region -- Sophomore designated hitter Jordan Nwogu earned first team All-Mideast Region recognitioin from the American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA). Freshman All-America -- Freshman right-handed pitcher Willie Weiss earned Freshman All-America honors from Perfect Game. One of two relief pitchers to be recognized, Weiss owns a 3.08 ERA and nine saves in 26 appearances. He has struck out 50 batters in 38 innings while allowing just 25 hits. » Perfect Game Release

Willie Weiss (June 5)
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper Freshman All-America -- Freshman right-handed pitcher Willie Weiss earned Freshman All-America honors from Collegiate Baseball Newspaper. One of nine players nationally to be recognized, Weiss produced nine saves and a 2.97 earned-run average in 23 appearances before NCAA Tournament play. Karl Kauffmann (April 29)
Big Ten Pitcher of the Week -- Junior right-handed pitcher Karl Kauffmann earned Big Ten Pitcher of the week honors following eight shutout innings in a win against Rutgers on April 26. Kauffmann allowed just two hits and a walk, while striking out five batters in his first Friday start of the season. Kauffmann lowered his ERA to 2.40 and is currently 7-3 on the season with one save. » Big Ten Release
Tommy Henry (April 10)
USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award Midseason Watch List -- Junior left-handed pitcher Tommy Henry is one of 40 midseason candidates for the Golden Spikes Award which is given annually to the top amateur baseball player in the country. Henry (6-2, 1.67 earned-run average) leads Michigan and the Big Ten Conference in wins and is second in the conference in strikeouts (65) and opponent batting average (.178). He also started the season with a streak of 25 scoreless innings, which was snapped in his fourth start of the season against UCLA on March 8. Tommy Henry (March 4)
Big Ten Pitcher of the Week -- Junior left-handed pitcher Tommy Henry earned Big Ten Pitcher of the week honors following eight shutout innings in a win at Cal State Northridge on March 1. Henry threw another efficient game, using 90 pitches to strike out 12 batters against just three hits and a walk. Through his three starts, Henry has not allowed a run while striking out 34 batters against just 10 hits in 23.0 innings.
Tommy Henry (Feb. 25)
Big Ten Pitcher of the Week and NCBWA National Pitcher of the Week -- Junior left-handed pitcher Tommy Henry earned Big Ten Pitcher of the Week honors after an impressive performance in a 2-0 shutout at The Citadel on Friday (Feb. 22). The lefty pitched a complete-game, one-hit shutout against the Bulldogs and struck out a career-high 13 batters in the process. He faced the minimum 27 batters and did so in quick fashion, throwing just 88 pitches in the game. Dominic Clementi, Jesse Franklin and Jordan Nwogu (Feb. 13)
2019 Big Ten Preseason Players to Watch -- Junior Dominic Clementi and sophomores Jesse Franklin and Jordan Nwogu were named Michigan's trio of preseason players to watch. In 2018, Clementi was an ABCA/Rawlings All-Mideast Region first team selection and All-Big Ten first team pick following a season in which he led Michigan with a .368 batting average and a .485 on-base percentage. Last season, Franklin earned Freshman All-America honors from Baseball America, D1Baseball, Perfect Game, NCBWA and Collegiate Baseball News while also being a unanimous All-Big Ten Freshman Team pick after batting .327 with 10 home runs and 47 RBI. Nwogu batted .349 with 15 extra-base hits (six of which were home runs) and 11 stolen bases in 2018 to earn Collegiate Baseball News Freshman All-America honors as well as All-Big Ten second team and All-Big Ten Freshman Team selections.
