
Michigan to Travel to No. 20 Nebraska for Final Regular-Season Series

Update (5/29/21, 10:15 a.m.): Due to inclement weather forecasted in Lincoln, Sunday's (May 30) scheduled game between Michigan and Nebraska will be played on Saturday (May 29) as a doubleheader beginning at noon CDT, with game two to begin at approximately 4 p.m. CDT.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan baseball team takes to the road for the final weekend of Big Ten Conference play as the Wolverines battle No. 20-ranked Nebraska in a trio of games at Haymarket Park. All three games will start at noon CDT and will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.
About the Series
Michigan trails 14-12 in the all-time series with Nebraska, but has won five of the last eight meetings. The teams met five times over the span of eight games to end 2019 with Nebraska taking two of three games in the regular-season finale before two meetings in the Big Ten Tournament. There, Michigan enjoyed an 18-8 victory before Nebraska answered with a 7-3 win.

• Michigan (26-15, 26-15 Big Ten) took a rare weekend series loss to No. 25-ranked Maryland last weekend, with the Terrapins winning two of three games in Ann Arbor, including a wild 11-inning affair on Friday night (May 21).

• Cameron Weston, owner of the second-lowest earned-run average in the conference (2.64), enters play not having allowed more than one earned run in any of his last three starts. Over those three outings, he has limited teams to eight hits in 19.1 innings while striking out 19 and issuing five walks.
• Michigan's offense is among the most balanced in the nation as eight different players have connected for at least five home runs and seven players with at least six dingers. Michigan has connected for six grand slams this season by five different sluggers.
• Sophomore Ted Burton leads the Big Ten Conference in slugging percentage (.732) while ranking second in batting average (.381). He leads the Wolverines with a .466 on-base percentage and has hit safely in 10 straight games and 16 of his last 17.
• Over his current 10-game hitting streak, Burton is batting .487 (19-for-39), with nine doubles, three home runs, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored.
• Over the past 17 games, Burton is batting .431 (28-for-65), with 10 doubles, one triple, six home runs, 25 RBI and 19 runs scored.
• Benjamin Sems sports a .344 batting average, a .419 on-base percentage and a team-high 51 hits while driving in 30 runs. He carries a 13-game hitting streak into the series and has hit safely in 22 of the past 23 games.
• Tito Flores, a Detroit, Mich., native, enters the weekend on a 13-game hitting streak, during which he has logged five doubles, four homers and 14 RBI. Overall, he stands at .322 with 19 extra-base hits and a team-high 35 runs batted in to go with a .427 on-base percentage.
