
Michigan Set for Regular-Season Finale at EMU Fall Classic

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's cross country team will close out the regular season at the EMU Fall Classic on Friday (Oct. 19) at 4:30 p.m. at the Hudson Mills Metropark in Dexter, Mich.
Notes
• U-M fell out of the USTFCCCA Coaches Poll in the final rankings of the regular season, receiving 16 votes on Tuesday (Oct. 22). The Wolverines are No. 6 in the Great Lakes Region rankings, with Wisconsin, Notre Dame, Butler, Michigan State, and Indiana making up the top five.
• Michigan split between a pair of meets last weekend, competing at the Bradley Pink Classic and the Wisconsin Pre-Nationals. The Wolverines finished fourth at Bradley on Friday (Oct. 18) and 22nd at Wisconsin on Saturday (Oct. 29).
• Peter Baracco's ninth-place finish (24:04.2) led the team at Bradley, with Kyler McNatt finishing in 17th place (24:15.8). Both saw personal-best performances.
• Nathan Lopez was the team's lead runner at Pre-Nationals, finishing 81st (23:44.0). Luke Venhuizen was the next Wolverine to cross the finish line, coming in 85th (23:45.0). Both Wolverines posted personal-best times.
• Ten Wolverines are set to compete at the EMU Fall Classic. Xander Black and John O'Reilly will make their season debuts, while Miles Brown and Camden Law will return to the lineup for the first time since the Michigan Open (Aug. 30).
• At last year's EMU Fall Classic, all six of Michigan's runners finished in the top 20. Henry Johnson finished fourth in 15:46.7 and Akili Parekh (15:56.7) was seventh, while Kyler McNatt (16:03.9) and Trent McFarland (16:09.1) crossed the line eighth and ninth, respectively. James Gedris (16:16.0) finished 11th and Myles Liss-Riordan was 17th.(16:32.8).
