
Wolverines Set for Regular-Season Finale at No. 12 Indiana

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 16-ranked University of Michigan water polo team (17-9) wraps up regular-season play on Saturday (April 19) with a rivalry showdown against No. 12 Indiana (16-10) in Bloomington, Ind. The teams will face off in a single-game noon matchup at the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center that will be streamed live on Overnght.com.
Notes
• Michigan returns to action following a strong showing at the Conference Crossover, where the Wolverines posted a 3-1 record. U-M earned dominant wins over Mercyhurst, then-No. 22 Brown, and St. Francis, outscoring their opponents 63-22.
• Ari Karampetsou continues to pace the Maize and Blue offense with a team-high 58 goals. She enters the weekend riding a seven-game point streak, highlighted by a six-goal performance against St. Francis.
• Matilda Waugh earned her first CWPA Rookie of the Week honor on April 8 after delivering an impressive eight-goal performance while generating four assists at the Michigan-hosted Conference Crossover.
• Claire Eusey tallied a career-high five goals against St. Francis to help lead the Wolverines to a 22-9 victory.
• During their Senior Day matchup against Brown, the Wolverines honored the Class of 2025 in style as all three seniors, Ashley O'Neill, Maiken Pardon, and Kasey Umlauf, found the back of the net.
• Starting goalkeeper Sophia Bunnell recorded 35 saves over the course of the four-game Conference Crossover.
• Sophomore Emma Gustafsson delivered a strong performance at the Conference Crossover, scoring eight goals and adding one assist.
• U-M and Indiana last met in February, when Michigan prevailed 15-14. Overall, Michigan leads 47-17-1 in the all-time series against the Hoosiers.
