ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan defender Pace Billings was selected 19th overall in the third round of the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League Draft by the Denver Outlaws on Tuesday night (May 6).
Billings becomes the second Wolverine in as many years to be drafted into the PLL, following Beau Pederson and Michael Boehm, who were selected by the Utah Archers and Philadelphia Waterdogs, respectively, in the 2024 draft.
In his graduate season at Michigan, Billings made an immediate impact, finishing with 24 caused turnovers — the third-most in a single season in program history. A First Team All-Big Ten honoree and two-time Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week, he started 13 games and led the team with 58 ground balls, ranking fifth in the Big Ten.
Michigan has now produced five PLL draftees since the league's inception in 2019, including three in the past two seasons.
Pederson's second-round, 13th overall selection in 2024 remains the highest draft position for a Michigan alumnus and helped the Archers to their second straight PLL championship.
