ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan men's lacrosse head coach Kevin Conry announced Tuesday (Aug. 5) the hiring of Will Corrigan as the program's new offensive coordinator.
"We are thrilled to have Will join our staff," Conry said. "He has a great offensive mind that will help us score goals on the field, but more importantly, he is a strong leader who will help our student-athletes flourish outside the game of lacrosse."
Corrigan spent the past two seasons at Air Force, where he helped the Falcons become one of the most dominant offensive units in the Atlantic Sun Conference. In his first year in Colorado Springs, Corrigan's offense led Air Force to an ASUN regular-season title, scoring 11.5 goals per game.
This past season saw Corrigan's offense score 12.2 goals per game, including three outings with 18 or more tallies. The offensive firepower brought Air Force to an ASUN title and a 14-9 NCAA Tournament win over Robert Morris.
Before his time with the Falcons, Corrigan had a four-year stint at Harvard as an assistant offensive coordinator, faceoff coordinator and riding coordinator. He helped power the Crimson to an 8-4 record in 2022 with the program's first NCAA Tournament appearance since 2014.
His ride limited opponents to the fourth-worst clearing percentage in the nation in 2022 and the third-worst in the country the following season. On the offensive side, Corrigan mentored three All-Ivy League players in Sam King, Owen Gaffney and Andrew Perry.
Corrigan went to Harvard after helping Washington and Lee claim Old Dominion Athletic Conference regular-season championships in 2018 and 2019, when his staff repeated as IMLCA South Region Coaching Staff of the year in both seasons.
A four-year letterwinner on the Notre Dame men's lacrosse team, Corrigan was an Academic All-ACC selection and played in a program record 65 games with the Fighting Irish. His father, Kevin Corrigan, has served as the Notre Dame men's lacrosse coach for more than 30 years.
"I'm incredibly honored to join the University of Michigan men's lacrosse program," Corrigan said. "Michigan is one of the most respected universities in the world, and I'm excited to both contribute and grow here."
"I want to thank Coach Conry and the entire staff for the warm welcome. My family and I are thrilled to make Ann Arbor our home, and I can't wait to get started."
