Notes
• Michigan wraps up a four-match homestand this weekend, hosting a pair of top-10 teams in No. 10 UCLA and No. 8 USC.
• The Wolverines have recorded three straight shutouts, beginning with a 4-0 win at Penn State (March 8). U-M returned to the VTC last weekend, blanking both Nebraska (March 13) and Iowa (March 15).
• These matches mark the seventh and eighth ranked opponents for the Wolverines this season. Michigan has one win over a ranked team, coming against then-No. 20 Duke (March 1).
• USC is one of two unbeaten teams remaining in the Big Ten at 4-0. Michigan is one of six schools with just one loss in conference play.
• Michigan has won the doubles point in six straight matches, going 5-1 in that stretch. U-M has used Lily Jones and Jessica Bernales at No. 1, Reese Miller and Laura Rahnel at No. 2, and Piper Charney and Emily Sartz-Lunde at No. 3 in five of those six matches. Miller and Rahnel were paired for the first time in U-M's win at Xavier (Feb. 24) and are 5-0 as a pair.
• Michigan won a pair of matches against UCLA last season, earning two 4-1 wins in the regular season and in the semifinals of the Big Ten Tournament. U-M is now 2-2 all-time against the Bruins. This marks UCLA's first trip to Ann Arbor.
• The Wolverines recorded a 4-2 win over the Trojans last season in Los Angeles, moving to 2-5 all-time against USC. The teams are meeting for the third straight season after USC came to the VTC in 2024 prior to joining the Big Ten. Charney's sister, Emma, is a senior at USC.
• Jones became the first Wolverine to reach the 20-win mark in singles this season after recording a 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 2 in Michigan's win over Penn (Jan. 24). She is 24-6 on the season, reaching 20 wins for the fourth straight year. She picked up the 100th win of her career during the NCAA Singles Championship and is now ninth all-time at Michigan with 109 singles wins.
• Michigan has a pair of ranked singles players in Charney (No. 20) and Jones (No. 21). Charney and Jones each earned ITA All-America honors in singles this past fall by reaching the round of 16 at the NCAA Singles Championship.
• Head coach Ronni Bernstein is in her 19th season, holding a 557-202 overall coaching record. She is 387-108 as the Michigan head coach, leading the program to 12 Big Ten championships and six Big Ten Tournament titles.
