The University of Michigan men's lacrosse team (1-5, 1-5 Big Ten) travels to Baltimore, Md., for a Sunday (April 4) matchup versus Johns Hopkins (2-4, 2-4 Big Ten) at noon. The contest will be broadcast live on ESPNU.
Wolverine Bites
• Four Wolverines hail from the state of Maryland: John Kiracofe (Olney), Isaac Aronson (Potomac), Shane Carr (Severna Park) and Matt Kelly (Rockville).
• Freshman Michael Boehm ranks second on the team in points (16) and leads the squad with seven helpers. Boehm was ranked as the No. 12 freshman in the country at the midseason mark by to Inside Lacrosse.
• Junior Bryce Clay and sophomore Josh Zawada are tied for the team lead in goals with 12. Both rank No. 15 in the conference, averaging two goals per contest. Zawada also leads the team in overall points with 17. Clay ranks No. 2 in the conference in man-up goals with three.
• Junior faceoff specialist Nick Rowlett continues to lead the conference in faceoff winning percentage at .570 (92-of-162) and in ground balls per contest with 8.67. His winning percentage ranks No. 25 in the country, while the ground-ball mark is No. 5 in the country. In Lacrosse Reference's EGA ranking, Rowlett boasts a mark of 25.60 to rank as the No. 8 FOGO in the country.
• Junior goalie John Kiracofe has been the main option in net and leads a U-M unit that averages 11.70 saves per game to rank second in the conference.
• Kevin Conry will be coaching against his alma mater, Johns Hopkins. He was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse team, helping the squad to a runner-up finish in the 2003 NCAA Division I Championship. Conry earned a bachelor's degree in political science at Johns Hopkins in 2004.

All-time series against the Blue Jays: U-M trails, 8-0
The two sides met on Feb. 27 in Ann Arbor, with the Blue Jays emerging victorious, 14-7. Michael Boehm led U-M with three points, and Michigan led, 3-1, early in the first quarter. However, Hopkins outscored the Wolverines, 8-2, in the second half en route to the U-M defeat.
Connor DeSimone leads the team in points (22) and helpers with nine, while Joey Epstein paces the Blue Jays in goals with 15 -- a number that ranks No. 7 in the conference. FOGO Matt Narewski is the main option at the dot (52 percent), while goalie Josh Kirson ranks No. 5 in the Big Ten in saves per game (8.17) and in save percentage (.410).
Offensively, the Blue Jays are ranked No. 36 in the nation in goals per game (10.33) and are ranked 41st nationally and second in the conference, allowing 11.83 goals/game. Michigan nearly knocked off the Blue Jays in the 2018 season at home, falling, 10-9, on April 21, 2018.
