ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 13-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (1-0) will close out its season-opening homestand on Sunday (Nov. 9), hosting Harvard (0-0) at Crisler Center. Tipoff is set for noon.
Notes
• Michigan and Harvard are completing a home-and-home series that began during the 2023-24 season. The Wolverines earned an 80-66 win in the previous meeting in Cambridge. This will be the Crimson's second trip to Ann Arbor.
• Michigan welcomes back former assistant coach Carrie Moore, now in her fourth season as Harvard's head coach. Moore spent the 2021-22 season on the Wolverines' bench, helping guide U-M to the Elite Eight. A Detroit Country Day graduate, Moore starred at Western Michigan (2004-07), leading the nation in scoring as a senior.
• U-M forced 45 turnovers against Canisius in the season opener (Nov. 4), tied for the second-most in a game nationally this season. Canisius committed more turnovers (45) than points scored (40), marking the second straight year Michigan has accomplished that feat. LIU had 32 turnovers and 31 points in a 96-31 Wolverine win last season (Nov. 20, 2024).
• Brooke Quarles Daniels and Mila Holloway each set new career highs in steals against Canisius, with Quarles Daniels recording eight and Holloway adding seven. Quarles Daniels' eight steals are tied for the fifth-most in program history, while Holloway's seven rank 14th. Quarles Daniels is one of only three players nationally this season with at least eight steals in a game.
• Ashley Sofilkanich joined the 1,000-point club for her career in the season opener, scoring just four seconds into the game to reach the milestone. She tallied 998 points in two seasons at Bucknell and added 14 in her U-M debut to reach 1,012 career points. Sofilkanich is one of 139 active players nationally with at least 1,000 career points.
• Mila Holloway opened her sophomore campaign by tying her career highs in points (21) and assists (8) while setting a new personal best with seven steals. Te'Yala Delfosse came off the bench to notch career highs with 14 points and six rebounds.
• Michigan is 113-10 under head coach Kim Barnes Arico when scoring at least 80 points. The Wolverines are 1-0 this season when hitting that mark.
• The Wolverines are ranked No. 13 in the Associated Press preseason poll, the second-highest preseason ranking in program history (No. 11 in 2021-22). U-M also checks in at No. 16 in the WBCA Coaches Poll.
Single-game and group tickets are available for all games. Promotions and ticket pack items are locked in for the 2025-26 season.
