
U-M to Welcome Cleveland State in Tuesday Tilt

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 20-ranked University of Michigan men's lacrosse team (3-2) will play its second straight midweek contest when it welcomes Cleveland State (2-3) to U-M Lacrosse Stadium on Tuesday (March 4) at 5 p.m.
Notes
• Michigan is ranked 20th in latest USILA Poll, which was released on Monday, March 3.
• Senior Ryan Cohen became just the third Wolverine to eclipse 200 career points, joining Michael Boehm and Josh Zawada. The senior attacker led the Michigan offense against Canisius with six points (two goals, four assists) to bring his career total to 201. Cohen is also just three goals away from 100 career goals and would become the second player in Michigan lacrosse history to accomplish the feat, joining Boehm, who recorded 133 career goals and 104 career assists. For his efforts, Cohen has been named to the 2025 Tewaaraton Award Watch List.
• Sophomore Jack Jenkins had a career-high five points with four goals and one assist against Canisius for his fifth multi-point game of the season. This year, the sophomore attacker ranks second for the Wolverines in offensive production with 18 points -- 10 goals and eight assists.
• Junior goalie Hunter Taylor became the third goalie in Michigan men's lacrosse history to tally 300 career saves after making 10 saves at Duke. Taylor moves into third all-time in career saves at U-M and is just 37 stops away from moving into second with Tommy Heidt. The junior goalie has tallied two double-digit save efforts this season.
• The U-M backline has given up just three goals in two games at U-M Lacrosse Stadium and has allowed only one goal in the second half of action. In its latest outing against Canisius, Kees van Wees and Jack Marlow had three caused turnovers each and Mason Whitney had three ground balls, while Taylor made eight saves for his third win of the season.
• U-M dominated in its first game of the 2025 campaign with a 14-1 win over Marquette. The Wolverines allowed the fewest goals in program history and rattled off 14 straight goals in the victory. The Michigan defense kept the Golden Eagles scoreless for 48 minutes and 51 seconds as Marquette scored its lone goal with 11:49 remaining in the first quarter. The defensive trio of Billings, van Wees and Whitney caused four turnovers and picked up nine ground balls combined, while holding Marquette to 26 shots compared to Michigan's 49.
• Head coach Kevin Conry is in his eighth season at the helm of the Michigan program and returns both Jim Rogalski and Scott Bieda as assistant coaches, while adding Jared McMahon as his third assistant for the 2025 campaign. Conry has brought the U-M program to new heights, winning back-to-back Big Ten Tournament Championships in 2023 and 2024 as well as making two-straight NCAA Tournament appearances and having the first All-American citations in the history of the program.
• Michigan heads back out on the road Saturday (March 8) when it takes on Harvard at noon.
